The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning equipment. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are an excellent option for those who wish to take mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
This is the model to pick if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery mid-clean.
It's extremely quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can vacuum carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one motion. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings with ease. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance, though still impressive, is not as impressive. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into tight corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger debris such as books and toys that have been damaged.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't create as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping, and is sold separately from the vacuum. It is simple to install and works well. However, if you are buying this vacuum solely to mop it is important to be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device is equipped with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and efficiently. automatic hoover leads to an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively fast.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners or baseboards, as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also come with a stretchy side brush that can be extended to reach the floor near walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.
App-based customization is a different interesting feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
The device is costly, however it has many useful features. It is important to note that the device incurs regular expenses, such as mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.
This robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or someone who just wants to have a clean home without spending much time doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is able to perform vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of the way. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing bags for disposables or refilling the water tank.
Our testers found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature was its precise floorplan map that it uses to determine a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to keep certain areas of your home from being scrubbed with mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up pet hair. It was able to capture the majority of hair shed by our cats and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. It was relatively silent and also had a few pleasant jingles that let you know when it was beginning or completing its task.
The app was too simple and you had to change the modules each time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app isn't able to store multiple maps, which can be a problem for homes with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can mop and vacuum.
robot vacuum uk X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it comes with some unique features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock, which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning as well as a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.
The base comes with a couple of buttons for control, which allow you to manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on the child lock which is a great touch for parents worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni uses its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at finding objects.
This can cause the X1 to become stuck when it is entangled in a blockage, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. Although this is not a common occurrence however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't come with an "stuck" status alert in its app.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't an issue except for the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.
On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxes.
